In September of 2015, Liu Bolin was asked by the United Nations to create a work of art to highlight and represent their Global Goals campaign. Through the Global Goals campaign, "World Leaders have committed to 17 Global Goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality & injustice. Fix climate change." Liu Bolin hosted this performance in his Beijing Studio.
Liu Bolin's series and works concerning food safety delicately toe the line between knowledge and ignorance when it comes to our planet's attitudes towards consumption. For the Buenos Aires art fair, arteBA, he presented a public performance that illustrated his strong beliefs on the dangers of GMO foods.
In early September of 2014, 78 friends and supporters of Liu Bolin gathered at Klein Sun Gallery in Chelsea to participate in the world renowned artist's newest series. With the help of a specialized crew over one week, Liu Bolin camouflaged participants into two photographs: one of the new 2013 one hundred-dollar note and one of a traditional Chinese landscape painting. Every aspect of the project was labor intensive. The models' poses, for example, were exceptionally difficult to hold for an entire day as their dramatic gestures were derived from classical and medieval European paintings. Nonetheless, Liu Bolin has refined this demanding process to synthesize the precise painting and photographic executions necessary to create these works. In collaboration with the German Museum, Kunstverein Ludwigsburg, Liu Bolin held a performance where he painted himself into porcelain goods made using a traditional, local techniques that have been passed down for generations.
When Bon Jovi wanted to create the album cover for their new album, "What About Now," they turned to esteemed artist Liu Bolin. Liu created a one of a kind art piece inspired by the lyrics on What About Now.

In the aftermath of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Sandy Hook, Connecticut Liu Bolin choose to create Hiding in New York No. 9 - Gun Rack (2013) to the address the issue of gun violence in America and across the globe.
Harpers Bazaar asked Liu Bolin to work with fashion designers Angela Missoni, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, and Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino for a special collaboration called, "Lost in Fashion."
In 2011 and 2012, the gallery hosted the first series of public performances for Liu Bolin in the United States. Liu Bolin held performances at iconic New York locations like the wall street bull and ground zero. During this time he also collaborated with graffiti artist Kenney Scharf, as well as French street artist JR.
