Press Release

Klein Sun Gallery is pleased to announce Liu Bolin's participation in "We Are What We Eat," an exhibition exploring the global food concerns mankind faces in the new millennium.

Both industrialized and non-industrialized countries share growing concerns about viable water sources for human and livestock consumption, sustainable farming as well as food production. The selected works of artists Liu Bolin (China), Edward Burtynsky (Canada), Jim Draper (United States), Pepe López (Venezuela) and Vik Muniz (Brazil) delve deeply into concepts linked to population and economic growth, malnutrition, free range versus farmed proteins and over consumption. The exhibition is developed in conjunction with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2, to highlight the need for global food security through sustainable agricultural practices, and improved nutrition through activism and education.

The exhibition is organized by Ambassador Jack Brewer; Aaron Levi Garvey; Adolfo Pecchio; Eli Klein; and Art for Thoughts. A catalogue accompanies the show.
